Longleng, March 1 (MExN): The District Health Society Longleng conducted review meeting on District Task Force on Immunization which was followed by meetings of District Quality Assurance committee and Ayushman Bharat School Health and wellness committee at DCs Chamber, Longleng on February 28.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of W Manpai Phom NCS, Deputy Commissioner Longleng, stated a press release received here.
Dr Imtijungshi Aier DPO (RCH/UIP) gave a short briefing on the performance of Routine Immunization in the District focusing on Pentavalent and Measles Rubella Vaccine coverage and drop out. He also stated that the Department has already disseminated the information to all the Health Units to do the Line listing of the drop-outs and mobilise them for Vaccination by March 2025.
Akumjungla DPM QA gave an overview presentation on National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) it is a set standards that assess the quality and certify public health facilities in India she also spoke on NQAS measures qualities, incentives and the process to get certified and highlighted on the Districts ongoing activities for NQAS assessment where Tangha HWC has undergone State Level Certification. Action Plan was made to achieve to achieve the target of National Certification set by the Ministry
Dr Angphen MO RBSK highlighted on Ayushman Bharat School Health and wellness New Program a joint initiative under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched on February 2020 where this program will be implemented in Longleng from this year in Longleng after the Launching and training for the program where two teachers from every Government School will be selected and trained as the ambassadors of School Health Program. The main focus of the programme is to improve Health and wellbeing of School Children.
The meetings were attended by District Administration, Education Department, CSOs and Medical staff.
