DMC clarifies news report on extortionist

Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): In the backdrop of a news report wherein it was mentioned that one of the person arrested for collecting money was an employee of the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), the Chief Advisor of the DMC has clarified that the person identified as Khetoshe Sema has already been terminated from service.  

The press note issued by Er. K Keditsu, Chief Advisor, DMC, was responding to a news item published on February 27 on “The Morung Express” with the headline, “Irate public thrash two for demanding money”. The news report had alleged that Khetoshe Sema was an Asst sanitary Inspector in the DMC. The press note clarified that  he was no longer a staff of DMC as his services was terminated Vide Office Order /G-7/ 2011-12/2332-35 dated 30th Jan 2012 for his gross negligence while discharging his duties and absenting continuously without leave from the office. 

The press note further stated that as such, Asst sanitary Inspector, DMC mentioned in the publication maybe clarified as it had no responsibility over what has been done by him. In order to clarify to the public, a separate document of the order was submitted along with the press release where it was mentioned that Khetoshe Sema, Asst sanitary inspector was terminated from the office from January 30 2012.
