DMC clears Midland-Landmark drainage

Dimapur, May 2 (MExN): The drainage passing between Landmark (PWD) Colony and Midland Colony Dimapur was cleared on April 30 morning by staff of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC).

GB of Midland Colony, Khehuto Zhimomi informed that the drain is a vital drain for the two colonies as waste water of many households of the two colonies flows through the drain. He said the drain was in much need of cleaning as it remained blocked with solid waste for a long time.

On behalf of the authority of the two colonies, he has appealed to the residents not to dump solid waste into the drain so as to prevent the drain from clogging especially during rainy season.

GB Khehuto further thanked Tarep Imchen, Administrator, DMC for deputing his staff towards community service. He also thanked T. Kupa, EAC (P) for his sincere effort in initiating to clean the drain.
