Dimapur, September 5 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) today informed that it will undertake joint initiatives with stakeholders to promote public hygiene and civic responsibility across the city.
In this connection, the parking fee collectors engaged under the DMC will conduct cleanliness drives every Saturday within their respective designated parking zones, it said.
Further, the Councillor in charge of Public Transport and Parking Lots, DMC, will supervise the systematic maintenance and repainting of parking lines across the streets where fees are collected, it added.
The Dimapur District Auto Drivers' Union (DDADU) has also resolved to carry out weekly cleanliness drives at the Super Market area every Saturday in collaboration with the DMC.
