Dimapur, December 7 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed all the trade license holders under its jurisdiction that the council has adopted the government financial year accounting system i.e. from April 1 to March 31, instead of calendar year, for issuance of fresh and renewal of licenses.
Accordingly, the trade license renewal for the forth coming financial year 2023-24 i.e. from April 1, 2023 to March 1, 2024 will be done as per the prescribed rate with validity up to March 1, 2024, stated a notification from the DMC dated December 6.
For the remaining period of the current financial year – from January 1 to March 31, 2023, an additional charge in respect of both Trade License fee and sanitary tax for 3 months will be charged together at the time of renewal for the next financial year 2023-2024, it said.
The renewal of trade license will commence from December 12 and all the license holders are informed to renew the same during office working hours, added the notification issued by DMC Administrator, W Manpai Phom.
