DIMAPUR, MAY 29 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council under the initiative of its Chief Executive Officer, Imtirenla Jamir, inaugurated the online marketing information system of DMC at its office premises today. Hokivi Chishi, President, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is also a former councilor of DMC inaugurated the system created by National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Communication and IT, as Chief Guest.
With the inauguration of the system, citizens can get the retail and wholesale rate of any commodity – SMS DMES <space><code> to 9206053887. Customers can also get the Code list of all the commodities – SMS DMES <space>Code to 9206053887.
Speaking on the occasion Hokivi Chishi congratulated the DMC led by Chief Executive Officer, Imtirenla Jamir for having created which is operated in only few places in the country. Hokivi said Imtirenla, in such a short span of time of taking over as CEO DMC, has brought to fruition many projects besides streamlining the DMC for the benefit and welfare of the people.
He said, this system is a great boon to the people and the traders because Dimapur is the lifeline for the rest of the state as well as our neighboring states of Manipur. And that people can now find out the prices of various commodities from the comfort of their homes and would ensure uniformity of rates and will help curb the menace of exorbitant or self-fixed rates.
