DMI St. Joseph Global School conducts painting competition

Student participants of DMI St. Joseph Global School display their art works during the painting comptetion held on February 22.

 

With a view to enhance the painting skills of the students, the art department of DMI St. Joseph Global School conducted a painting competition for Class I-IX on February 22. 

 


The competition was conducted in two categories. Junior category, which included class I-IV, painted on the theme local scenery, while senior category, painted on the theme of Australia’s bushfires and how to save the environment. 

 


In the junior category, Molungtenzuk (IV-B) bagged the first prize, while Kimiyetoli (IV-B) and Thopimi (III) shared the second prize. Niyepu (III), was awarded the third prize. 

 


In the senior category, LivinoYesca (V-A) won the first prize, while Vikebe and Nisha Goel (IX) shared the second prized and Nichiku Zhimomi and Olyca (V-A) shared the third prize. The winners were congratulated in the school assembly with certificates. 

 


Art and craft coordinator, Henry coordinated the whole contest. In his introductory note, Henry urged the students to cultivate painting as a hobby to “relieve tension and to cultivate good handwriting and concentration.”
