Dimapur, January 13 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) for the month of January 2011 was held on January 5 in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Dimapur. During the meeting, the board also decided to pursue for official short form, the name for Dimapur district, which can be called as “Dmr or Du” after approval.
The DC informed the house that the second phase of the census 2011 will start from February 9 to 28 with a revisional round from March 1 to 5. The DC also said that every person of a household has to be enumerated, in this context, the DC appealed to all the enumerators and supervisors to be vigilant for accurate enrollment. The DC further said that there are about 12,000 homeless populations in the district, which has also been taken care of. The Board also reviewed the last meeting minutes and the departments of DRDA and Soil Conservation were asked to highlight departmental activities in the next Board meeting.
