DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 5 (MExN): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has appealed to the Nagaland Government to do away with interview marks in the NSSB.
A press release from the CTAN said that the government reduced the interview marks for NPSC (CSE) marks from 75 to 55 (26.67%), while the issue of the same for CTSE still remains pending till date. The CTAN appealed to the government to look into the matter and do the same for CTSE in line with 26.67% reduction of marks i.e. 65 to 48.
It also noted that the draft of NSSB 2020 Rule 45 (personal interview) clause 10 (annexure -1) has made a mention of marks to be allotted in personal interview as 12.5% of total marks of examination process.
The CTAN appealed to “do away with interview as mentioned in the charter demand and in line with the policy of Central Government (annexure 1B) with regard to the two points.”
It also mentioned that the “reduction of interview marks and setting up of NSSB is the outcome of many sacrifices made by educated Naga youths.” “The ill effect of having interview marks in NSSB is dragging many candidates towards seeking recommendation from bureaucrats killing the very spirit of setting up NSSB to pave ways for deserving and hardworking candidates,” the CTAN added.
