Do you think the Nagaland government should release packages for entrepreneurs to rekindle the state’s economy? Give reasons

Some of those who voted YES had this to say:
•    The Nagaland government needs to come out with a comprehensive plan to empower entrepreneurs during this COVID-19 situation. So far, the government has not done anything worth mentioning. This is the time for the government to step up and show its intellectual prowess to come up with ideas and solution.

•    For promoting and encouraging entrepreneurs.

•    Yes. When one help voluntarily to the needy/poor people, government must look to the people for a better service or acts

•    Unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown almost all shops, firms and earners estts. are all closed down thereby caused  income generation to near zero, Economic crisis

•    Rather than releasing economic package for entrepreneurs, the govt should first ensure that daily wage laborers, auto drivers, taxi drivers, construction workers etc are providing with dry rations and financial aid.

Some of those who voted NO had this to say:
•    No. Let us call spade a spade. In Nagaland there are only a handful of genuine businessmen who are living and doing real business. The rest are mostly contractors who do government contracts and some are the henchmen of politicians who get an odd job now and then. This is why Nagaland is not progressing. Contractors who do only government contracts cannot be called entrepreneurs and businessmen. The funny part is that even the NGOs providing entrepreneur and skill training rely on government projects to do that.

•    No, because it will be given to entrepreneurs who have connection with Ministers and big shots. So its better not to ask for such things.

•    No. Without an proper planning and policy, the relief package will have no meaning and will not rekindle the state's economy.

Some of those who voted OTHERS had this to say:
•    An entrepreneur is an individual who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. The process of setting up a business is known as entrepreneurship. The entrepreneur is commonly seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas, goods, services, and business/or procedures. Packages for entrepreneurs to rekindle the state’s economy is indeed a need at this point of time and as such, entrepreneurs that has sustained the state's economy by their sheer grit and determination during these times must be provided assistance. All must eat to survive and to eat, we need food and those that have provided them to the people should be provided with proper and encouraging assistance to continue doing so on a sustainable scale of things. This pandemic has shed light on what we as humans need most for sustenance and as such we must actually start from having a reliable source for the belly and all rest will follow suit. Demand has been high over this period on essential items but the supply has been meagre and as such, what meagre number of entrepreneurs we have that have at least sought to provide the supply aspect must be encouraged further such that sustainable sustenance is a mainstay and not just a pandemic activity. All said and done, the ball will be on legislative competency to churn out policies on which entrepreneurial activity to encourage further for a sustainable sustenance going forward.

•    Any package released should be done according to the need basis and only to functioning units. There are many entrepreneurs only by name but not by deed. The government should asses and decide on whether they are actually functioning and contributing to the state's economy. The print media deserves financial assistance from the government since they employ people and contribute to the local economy.
