Kohima, August 9 (MExN): The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DoHFW) has informed patients who have obtained recommendation of district medical board prior to November 1, 2022 for treatment outside state to immediately submit the documents to the DoHFW by August 18.
Thereafter, it will be submitted to the State Government for Post-Ex-facto approval for outside state treatment, stated a press release from Director & In-charge of Medical Reimbursement DoHFW Dr Chiekroshuyi Tetseo.
With the launching of the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CHMIS), the state government has done away with the old medical reimbursement with effect from 1st November 2022, it said.
However, but during the transition some patients who obtained District medical board recommendation could not submit the same to the DoHFW by October 31, 2022 as per the existing order at that time, it informed.
Accordingly, with the new notification, the patients are given till August 18 to submit their claims.
