Dimapur, December 18 (MExN): Don Bosco Tech AIDA Centre held the graduation ceremony of batch 31 of Skill Training for unemployed youth.

The batch which began on October 9 with 31 trainees concluded the training on December 18. All the trainees received placement offers, a press release informed.

R Amongla Jamir, District Education Officer, Dimapur, graced the occasion as the special guest. She congratulated the trainees while reminding them that “you are no more unemployed now as you have a job in hand and it is a great achievement”.

“We Nagas are educated but are unemployed; the reason is that we often look for white collar jobs. Now you are trained so you should give your best to satisfy your guests. You all are equally trained but the difference between one of you and the other is your sacrifices and sincerity that you will give in your work”, she further said. She asked the parents to “encourage your children in doing something, which they are good at.”

Anita Kapuh, Placement Coordinator, Don Bosco Tech Dimapur Region congratulated the trainees and appreciated the parents for sending their children for the skill training. She encouraged the candidates saying “everyone is in a learning process so as you step out to the real work make a good name for yourself, for family and for the institute with right attitude.”

Most of the candidates are from economically poor back ground with minimum education qualification. However, 75 days of intense training has prepared them to work in corporate environment, the press release added.

Roseline Konyak welcomed the gathering and Nukusa and friends sang a Chakesang folk song. Sabina, Molhrii, Kekhrinuo and Alomong shared their experiences and learning from the training. Bedunelu and friends sang a song and Robert gave the vote of thanks.

Don Bosco Tech AIDA centre will start batch 32 on January 20, 2020. Training is provided in Food and Beverages Service Steward and Assistant Beauty Therapist.
