As far as laziness is concerned, thirty to forty years is enough to mould our people to become so engrossed in living a strange civilized way of life that we begin to lose or forget all our true and valuable traditional practices such as cultivating field, earning daily wages through sweating, obtaining of Saltpeter, weaving & knitting, black smiting, gardening (not flowers), farming. Adventure, rearing domestic animals, etc. this are the changes that happen in our society but, never happened in any other places in the world, and it is too bothersome to think of the effect it has on the present generations, as they begin to think and act like, Zombies and Robots. There, are signs of corruptions, and dishonesty everywhere, it is right there under your roofs and doorsteps, on your: family, on your kitchen table, on the food that you consume, on your courtyard, on the millions of money that you spend, on the small footpath that you tread upon daily, on the road that you travel in your expensive car, in the office staffs that you work with; including sweeper, peon and chowkidar, on the water source that you tap, on the electricity that you use, on the telephone that you use to converse, on the groups whom you deal with, on the false promises that you have made, in the hospitals and pharmacies that you go for checking your health, in that shops that you purchase your daily requirement, in the situation where you want to justified but remain silent because you yourself is not just, in the church that you attend which is very busy with daily business transaction and secular elections etc. therefore, as obvious as it is, why do you try to bring up some irrelevant issues to fool the gullible and in the, process cover up your nefarious activities from the masses with an attitude of dishonestly gaining their sympathy.
With rampant corruption, chances are automatically not given to those opportunists and double minded persons to take bold step against the wrongdoers as such, there is deterioration in law and order situation day by day with evil activities like, killing, intimidation, desecration, bribery scams, bogus appointments, irregularity, strikes, bandh etc. To show true realization, let us not allow ourselves to go back to those days of dark ages and also not to allow a civilized life of corruption and indolent, but value our traditional practices of being self-sufficient and independent through hard work and simple living, instead of being helplessly dependent on others. On the other hand, for those of you who refuse to sweat and toil, it is even shameful to bother about the kind of unique lifestyle a person lead in the rural areas, why be so desperate to act like an honest man to get the bigger share of the chunk sacrifice the society and the community at the cost of preventing them from becoming prosperous or moving forward.
Why make a non-issue an issue, as far as the issues like health, identity, culture and festivals are concerned it will be preserved by the people in the villages who till their field all day long and sleep peacefully at night and not by the corrupt and lazy people who live in town and cities having complicated health and psychological problems. The only contribution one can make is to create some incentives and modernization if possible. We must not lose our traditional salty flavor in the process of utilizing our talents in different fields, as we still have a long way to go.
