Kohima, February 14 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education (DoSE), Nagaland has informed on admission for boys and girls to Class VIII in Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, for January 2027 term. The entrance examination to be held on June 7, 2026 (Sunday), a DIPR report stated.
Both boys and girls are eligible to apply for admission to the RIMC, Dehradun. The candidates should be in the age bracket of 11½ to 13 years as on January 1, 2027, i.e., they should not be born earlier than January 2, 2014 and not later than July 1, 2015.
Candidates should either be studying in Class VII or should have passed Class VII from any recognised school at the time of admission to the RIMC i.e. January 1, 2027.
The written examination will consist of three papers namely Mathematics, General Knowledge and English. The Mathematics, General Knowledge and English papers will be conducted between 0930-1100 hrs, 1200-1300 hrs and 1430-1630 hrs respectively on June 7, 2026 (Sunday). The date for the interview will be intimated at a later date only for those candidates who secure 50% marks in all the papers in the written exam.
Prospectus cum Application Form and booklet of old question papers can be obtained by making online payment on RIMC website https://rimc.edu.in or speed post by forwarding self addressed slip which should be typed or written clearly in capital letters with Pin Code and contact number and an account payee bank demand draft of Rs 600/- for General Candidates and Rs 555/- for SC/ST Candidates. The Demand Draft will be made in favour of “THE COMMANDANT, RIMC FUND”, DRAWEE BRANCH, HDFC BANK, BALLUPUR CHOWK, DEHRADUN, (BANK CODE -1399), UTTARAKHAND.
Application on prescribed form accompanied by Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation, Domicile Certificate, ST/SC Certificate, original Certificate from the Principal of the current school with photograph attested stating the date of birth and class in which the candidate is currently studying, Photocopy of Aadhar Card (both sides), and 2 passport size photographs and should be submitted to the Directorate of School Education by April 5, 2026.
