Chümoukedima, August 11 (MExN): The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) monthly meetings of Chümoukedima, Kiphire and Meluri were held in the respective districts on August 11.
The meeting held at DPDB conference hall, Chümoukedima was chaired by DC, Chümoukedima, Polan John, NCS, stated a DIPR report.
The meeting commenced with the review of last DPDB minutes followed by an address from DPDB Chairman & Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio. In his address, he the board members encouraged to give their best and give inputs or topics on any subject matter, as they are working for the welfare of the people. He requested the DC Chümoukedima to keep track of the DPDB members as this will be reflected on their APAR assessment report.
The House after thorough deliberation, agreed to recommend the following agendas namely change of location of Millers Mission School from present location (Unity Village) to Diezephe Village, Introduction of Commerce Stream at GHSS Singrijan, Upgradation of Government Middle School Khriezephe to Government High Schoola and Proposal for Construction of District Employment Exchange Office while the Proposal for Construction of Excise Department Office has been deferred to the next meeting.
Later, PowerPoint Presentation was presented by the DCPO (District Child Protection Officer), Nikito Zhimomi. He highlighted the key functions, the status identifying the families at risk and children in need of care and protection and creating specific databases to monitor trends and patterns of children in difficult circumstances. He also highlighted on their activities and schemes. The next PPT will be presented by Agriculture Department.
Kiphire: Kiphire DPDB meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Temsuwati Longkumer NCS, Deputy Commissioner Kiphire and Vice Chairman DPDB at Deputy Commissioner conference hall, Kiphire.

After reviewing of the minutes of the previous meeting, DC Kiphire emphasised on the importance of the Indian Independence Day for the upcoming celebration on August 15 and also informed the members that Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y Patton will grace the Independence Day as chief guest at Kiphire.
EAC (HQ), Takatemjen Pongen NCS, highlighted on She-Box, district IC details and urged the departments to set the She-Box IC details, as only few departments had submitted so far. He also presented to the members on how to set the She-Box in detail and asked the departments to so the same.
Superintendent of Police, Chinese Chakhesang also spoke on how one must be safe from influx of drugs, child trafficking and child abuse in the District.
ADC, Longdiba L Sangtam NCS, informed that there will be mass social work for the upcoming Independence Day on August 12, starting from 6:00 am onwards in all the government offices, private and general public.
A PowerPoint presentation was presented by Sentiwapang NPS, Sub-District Police Officer Kiphire and in the next DPDB Meeting, DC Kiphire reminded the Rural Development Department and Soil & Water Conservation Department for PowerPoint presentation.
Meluri: At Meluri, the meeting was held at the DB's Court, DC Office, Meluri. Advisor N&RE and NSDMA, Government of Nagaland, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe, welcomed all the members present in the meeting.

After reviewing the previous meeting minutes, the following agendas were discussed and recommended namely Creation of Assistant commandant VG post at Phokhungri HQ, Upgradation of SDAO (Agriculture) to DAO, Upgradation of SDHO (Horticulture) to DHO, Upgradation of SDO (PHED) to Executive Engineer (PHED) and Creation of Sub- Divisional Fishery Office.
The PowerPoint presentation for Departmental Activities was presented by Sub-Divisional Educational Officer Meluri (SDEO) Kaitunchap. Lastly, Z Nyuthe, urged to all departments under Meluri district to take care of their departmental properties.
