Ura Academy president Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu today released four Tenyidie books written by Vizonyü Liezietsu.
The books, which includes Dzieseda (Common Words in Tenyidie), Thekreda (Humour), Lhenu-Teila mu Ciethoko (Climate-change and crops) and Mia Krii- Nuo Si Kezhü Huo (Parents ought to know) was released by Dr Shurhozelie at a function held at De Oriental Grand here this evening.
Dr Shürhozelie congratulated the author and was optimistic that such publications would help promote and strengthen Tenyidie literature apart from serving the community well its purpose on the diverse fields.
He acknowledged the author for bringing out a book especially on “Climate change and Crops” saying that farmers ought to know proper applications of the farming activities for bountiful harvest and improve the rural economy.
He was hopeful that the farmers will gain maximum benefit from such publications.
After his retirement as joint director agriculture, Nagaland, Vizonyü said he wanted to give back something to the society.
Thus, he came out with a book on climate change to educate the farming community.
“We should love our environment,” he said adding that as long as forest exists, there will be no shortfall of food production.
He called upon the people to conserve forest for a better future.
This book also illustrated on the need to protect wild life.
Earlier, the function was chaired by Prof. D. Kuolie.
Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie also spoke at the programme.
The programme started with a prayer by Rev. Viwelie Khezhie, senior pastor Khedi Baptist Kehou while Keneisedenuo Yiese presented a special number.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kemesanuo Liezietsu.
