Drinking water problem addressed at Chetheba

Chetheba: Chetheba town has a perennial water source from K. Bawe village which was laid in the late 1960’s and owing to spanning several years; there are wear and tears for which safe drinking water has become an acute problem.

Chetheba Town Adhoc Committee Vice Chairman Sulupoyi Swiho in a press release said that recognizing the need of the people, Vihesanuo BDO Chetheba has undertaken excavation of two drilled wells at Chetheba and upon which was successfully implemented. “With the new drilled wells, the drinking water problem has been addressed and the burden of our womenfolk who has to fetch water has been considerably reduced,” the release added.

The two dried wells were inaugurated by the BDO on May 15 in the presence of the public of Chetheba and leaders from neighbouring villages. The Committee has acknowledged the BDO Vihesanuo Solo and Rural Development Department for addressing the much-felt need of the people.
