Dimapur, January 22 (MExN): In view of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations on January 26, restrictions have been imposed on the operation of drones and Remotely Piloted Aircraft within the Dimapur Police Commissionerate to strengthen security arrangements.
According to an order issued by Commissioner of Police Dimapur Aotula T. Imchen, exercising powers under Rule 24 of the Drone Rules, 2021, areas within a two-kilometre radius around selected locations have been declared as Red Zones or No-Fly Zones.
The restrictions will remain in force from 2:00 am to 6:00 pm on January 26.
The locations declared as Red Zones include Dimapur DDSC Stadium, Chümoukedima Samaguting Stadium and Niuland Public Ground. During the specified period, no person shall operate any drone or RPA in these areas without prior permission from the competent authority.
