DSPO rues slow pace development

Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): The Dhansiripar Sub-division Public Organization has appealed to the present Government to create an SDAO Office in the sub-division. A press note issued by Vizheto Kiho, president, Dhansiripar, Subdivision Public Organization stated that the sub-division which got its first Circle officer way back in 1975, second only to Medziphema has surprisingly remained the most neglected sub-division today for the reasons best known to the various governments that have come and gone ever since the attainment of our statehood.
The Organization mentioned that presently, Dhansiripar has only SDO (C) headquarter whereas much younger subdivisions such as Nuiland has ADC headquarters. Along with the establishment and upgradations of administrative headquarters, other departments have followed suit in other subdivisions but not in Dhansiripar. For instance, in the Agriculture sector, inspite of the fact that Dhansipar is an agriculturally potential area fulfilling all the criteria of getting an SDAO headquarters in term of distance from the district headquarter, number of farming household, population size of the area etc no post creation of SDAO has been created inspite of the repeated appeal to the government.
“It is therefore, to fulfill the interest of the people of the area, particularly the farming community, earnestly appealed to the present government to look in to the matter and create an SDAO office in the subdivision,” further stated DSPO.
