Kohima, January 11 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Nzanbemo Tungoe, father of his Personal Assistant, Lithungo N Tungoe.
In a condolence message, Patton described Nzanbemo Tungoe as a dedicated and respected community leader who served society in various capacities.
He served as the Head GB of NST Colony, Wokha, and was the incumbent General Secretary of Wokha District Fair Price Union. His service record also included two terms as President of the Wokha District GBs Association and two terms as Vice President of Nagaland GB Federation, where he was also serving as the Finance In-Charge. He also rendered service as Chairman of Village Council, Chairman of NST Colony, and as an Executive Member of the Lotha Hoho, among other responsibilities.
Patton recalled the late leader as a man of humility, wisdom, and compassion, whose leadership was a source of strength for his family and the public. He noted that Nzanbemo Tungoe's contributions to the welfare of the people would be remembered with deep respect and gratitude. The Dy CM extended his heartfelt condolences to Lithungo N Tungoe and all the bereaved family members. He prayed for strength and comfort for the family and for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
