Kohima, October 11 (MExN): The Election Commission of India (ECI) officials comprising of Arvind Anand, Principal Secretary and Santosh Kumar Dubey, Secretary, arrived in Nagaland on Wednesday on a two-day visit for field verification of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls w.r.t. 01.01.2024, First Level Checking (FLC) of EVM & VVPAT machines and to review the poll preparedness of upcoming Parliamentary Election, 2024. 

The ECI Officials upon arrival conducted separate review meetings with DEOs, EROs, AEROs, Supervisors and BLOs of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Kohima District on October 11. 

The ECI officials are scheduled for field visit to various polling stations in Kohima town on October 12 followed by a review meeting with all the District Election Officers at Hotel Japü Kohima from 10:00 am onwards and inspection of FLC activities in Kohima and Tseminyu districts in the afternoon, stated a press release issued by Ruokuovituo Khezhie, Chief Electoral Officer (O), Nagaland.
