DIMAPUR, September 11 (MExN): The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC)) has issued a directive prohibiting all forms of unauthorised membership fee, donation, or subscription collections from businesses and vendors operating within its jurisdiction. The council has also announced the commencement of a weekly market at Daily Bazar, East Dimapur Town, starting September 19, 2025.
According to a press release issued by the EDTC, any individual or group found engaging in such unauthorized collections will face legal action as per relevant laws and regulations. The council stressed that these activities are strictly unauthorised and prohibited.
Meanwhile, it informed that the newly introduced weekly market will be held every Friday, commencing from September 19.
The council has encouraged all local and non-local vendors to participate in the market, describing it as an opportunity to sell and promote their products. It further requested the general public and vendors to take note of these directives and extend their full cooperation.
