Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has directed all companies, firms, agencies, service providers and individuals operating telecommunication and related infrastructure within its jurisdiction to obtain the necessary permission and authorization from the council office.
In a press release, the council said the directive applies to all telecommunication towers, cable wires, optical fibre networks, internet connections, communication infrastructure and any other private telecom-related installations functioning within the East Dimapur Town Council area.
The EDTC instructed all concerned parties to report to its office and complete the required permission formalities on or before June 30, 2026.
The council stated that the notification has been issued in the interest of ensuring proper regulation, documentation and management of telecommunication and related infrastructure within its jurisdiction.
