DIMAPUR, October 29 (MExN): The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has issued a directive requiring all ‘thekadars mistry’ operating within its jurisdiction to obtain a valid permit from the council office.
According to an official notice from the council, the permit process will be open from November 1 to 30, 2025. The council stated that this initiative is aimed at ensuring proper documentation and regulation of all construction and related activities in the area.
The EDTC has further mandated that all registered ‘thekadars mistry’ must strictly adhere to the official work rates fixed by the council. The notice cautioned that any deviation from the prescribed rates or undertaking work without a valid permit will be considered a violation of town council regulations.
“Necessary action as per rules will be taken against those found violating the directive,” the council stated, while soliciting cooperation from all concerned for the smooth implementation of the order.
