Educating womenfolk to become responsible Christian

Tobu, January 25 (MExN): Realizing the crucial need, a seminar was conducted at Tobu with an aim to educate and remind the womenfolk to become responsible Christian women in family, church, and society. Tobu Town Baptist Church, pastor Chingjau in a press release said that Tobu Town Baptist Church in collaboration with Tobu Village, Out Post Police Fellowship, Revival Church and Catholic women conducted the seminar was from January 17 to 19 with Pusuinla Longkumer, Women Secretary of Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association, as the speaker.

Stating that when women are weak, family, church, and society is weak, Pusuinla said, “this does not mean that men do not have responsibility; they too have their equal share of responsibility in all these three areas of life.” She affirmed that when a woman gets married she become a mother, she gives birth to her child, raises her children, manages her home and become a vibrant contributor in the society. When a woman does all these in the fear of the Lord, automatically society becomes good. “Her children arise and call her blessed; and her husband praises her” (Prov. 31: 28). A mother has every right to teach moral values to her children. She has the right to teach not to steal, and not to kill. Home is the best school for children. She questioned the women, “are we teaching religious, cultural, moral and ethical values at home?  Where are we today?”

The speaker also addressed some of the existing issues on women and economics, human trafficking, clean election campaign, homosexuality, problems of internet, mobile, and face book friends, extra marital affairs, divorce, and violence in the society. She concluded by encouraging the women to seek God, fear Him and to grow in His wisdom and knowledge.
