Kohima, September 2 (DIPR): The State level Teachers Day 2011 will be celebrated on September 5 at Government Higher secondary School Multipurpose Hall, Kohima. The Minister for School Education and SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak will grace the occasion as chief guest while the Commissioner & Secretary School Education & SCERT T. Imkonglemba IAS will chair the function who also will deliver the welcome address.
The integral part of the programme is the presentation of State Award to Teachers while teachers will be honoured by Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima. Dr. Rev. Anjo General Secretary NBCC will lead the invocation prayer, welcome song will be presented by T.M. Government High School Kohima and greeting song will be presented by Little Flower Higher Secondary School Kohima.
The other highlights of the programme include entertainment items which will be presented by various schools. Solo by Northfield School, Duet by Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Choreography by GHSS, Kohima, short play (10 minutes) by Christ King Higher Secondary School, folk song by GHSS Seikhazou, quartet by Model Higher Secondary School, special item by the teachers of Baptist High Kohima. The Director School Education N. Khevito Sema will pronounce the vote of thanks.
