Principal DIET, Zunheboto, Yevito Chisho has underscored the importance of education if society has to march towards progress and development. He said educating a child was a co-venture of all sections of the society and not confined only to educational institutions.
He was addressing a gathering during the flag hoisting ceremony of Philimi Students’ Union Golden Jubilee at the village local ground on Wednesday morning. Encouraging the students to sincerely pursue education, Yevito said education can only be acquired and it was not something that can be inherited. “If others can acquire degrees and achieve success in life, you also can,” he told the student community. He appealed the teachers to sincerely teach the students who were the leaders of tomorrow.
During the programme, Philimi GB, Luhevi Shohe delivered the welcome address while Philimi Youth Front, Philimi menfolk and women folk performed cultural items.
