Kohima, November 8 (MExN): There will be a phase-wise total power shutdown in Meriema, Thizama, New Secretariat Complex area, New Assembly Complex, and Phezoucha Colony from November 9-10.
The timings for the shutdown are: 1-4PM on November 9; 7AM-4PM on November 10; and 6-9AM on November 11.
This shutdown is necessary to facilitate the shifting of the 33 kV Kohima Ring Main Transmission Tower Line for the construction of the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) under NSDMA at the New Secretariat Complex area, Kohima, as informed by a press release. The shifting affects the 11kV New Secretariat & 11kV Thizama lines, which supply power to the aforementioned areas.
A shutdown scheduled earlier could not be carried out due to unavoidable circumstances, added the release from the Executive Engineer (EE), Electrical Division, Kohima.
The EE also appealed to all consumers and the public in the affected areas to take note of the timelines and bear with the inconveniences during the shutdown period.
