Dimapur, August 21 (MExN): The Eastern Konyak Union (Myanmar) on Saturday issued a condemnation note against the suspected grenade attack in Chenloisho Village, Mon.
Condemning the incident on behalf of the Konyak border area people, the Union said that the ‘act of cowardice’ from any political group or individual will not be tolerated. Terming the act ‘brainless and immature’ at a time when people needed peace, the EKU (Myanmar) appealed to Naga National leaders to justify at the earliest and sought a clarification.
The Union also voiced support for KU Mon and Chenloisho village in their condemnation and protest against the attack. Stating that the Eastern people depend on the shops in the border area, it appealed for the innocent people to be allowed to travel and buy their basic necessities.
The Union urged the Chenloisho Village not to prohibit innocent people coming to buy their basic needs from Eastern side on account of the attack.
