KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 13 (MExN): The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made modifications in the Notes written on the Photo Voter Slips. The latest order issued by ECI noted that it would not be possible to change the notes since the Photo Voter Slips are already printed.
Drawing attention to the changes in the Photo Voter Slips, Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, J. Alam (IAS) has directed the Deputy Commissioners and Returning Officers of all the districts of Nagaland to strike off the word ‘NOT’ from note 1 in the Voter Slip and to inform all the Candidates/Political Parties and Village and Town authorities about the changes made in the Voter Slip in order to avoid confusion. During training programmes, the Presiding Officer’s are also to be made aware of the changes made in the Photo Voter Slips, the directive stated. The CEO has further directed that after completion of the distribution of Photo Voter Slip, the BLO would have to submit a report to the concerned Administrative Officer and the Administrative Officer would forward the report to the Deputy Commissioner/DEO of the district with his/her remarks.
