Kohima, October 4 (MExN): The Election Department has informed that in pursuance of Section 166 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the power conferred to the State Government under Section 160 to 165 of the RP Act 1951 has been delegated to the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Tuensang to act on behalf of the State Government for requisitioning of vehicles, premises, etc. for the conduct of Bye-Election to 58-Shamator-Chessore (ST) Assembly Constituency, 2021.
Any vehicle, premises etc. belonging to private person or institution/organization shall be entitled for compensation under Sec 161 of the RP Act 1951, it informed through the state DIPR on Monday.
