Election materials dispatch for 186 polling stations in Kohima district

The office of the Kohima Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer today dispatched election materials and deployed polling personnel for 186 polling stations in Kohima district for Lok Sabha election scheduled for April 19.

Earlier, Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) Executive Director Rev Dr Rachülie Vihieno offered blessings for the polling personnel as they embarked on their duties across various polling stations in the district.

Kohima district has a total of 186 polling stations. All 28 polling stations under 10-Northern Angami-I Assembly Constituency will be managed by exclusively female polling teams, according to Kohima DPRO reports.

Meanwhile, Kohima DC & DEO Kumar Ramnikant has made a fervent appeal to all citizens within the Kohima district for their active involvement in the Lok Sabha Elections on April 19.

The polling will commence from 7:00 am till 4:00 pm.

With the aim of facilitating a seamless electoral process, DC Kohima encouraged voters to familiarize themselves with the electoral roll and locate their respective polling stations.

In line with electoral guidelines, eligible voters have been reminded to bring along the necessary documents for proof of identity on the polling day.

Recognizing the significance of elections in upholding the democratic fabric of India, DC Kohima stressed the collective responsibility of all citizens to actively participate in the electoral process.

In his appeal, DC encouraged all eligible voters to exercise their franchise freely, fairly, and fearlessly, without succumbing to apathy or indifference.

He assured the citizens of Kohima that adequate measures have been implemented to ensure a smooth, secure, and transparent electoral process.
