I Longkumer
Naga society is presently going through so much uncertainty with regard to whether state assembly elections ought to be held or not. In this context, I’d like to plainly state and also at the same time, appeal to the CSOs and the respective political parties, as well as the NNPGs that whatever decision is arrived at, it should be made sure that violence doesn’t occur. It should not be a repetition of last year’s ULB fiasco where innocent and precious lives were lost. This much, I hope, can be respected. Peaceful means of resistance must be followed. And to my fellow Naga brothers and sisters, the ordinary ones who hold the ultimate power, now is the time to analyse carefully and objectively without being swayed by primal instincts. We are the ones who will determine our future. Let us think and act wisely. May God guide us in these times of doubt and uncertainty!
