Akumla Imsong, Miss Mokokchung 2019 initiates Instagram online competition

With the dream to give support and opening to young aspiring entrepreneurs, Akumla Imsong, Miss Mokokchung 2019 initiated an Instagram online competition, “Elevate- a venture for young entrepreneur.”
The online competition which was launched in the month of August was held exclusively for permanent residents of Mokokchung District.
Akumla says that there are so many youths, including her getting into doing business because they do not want to depend on their parents for income. She says that it was encouraging to receive many calls for the entry into the competition. “Not just young but even matured people participated in the competition,” she told The Morung Express. “I want to take it further,” she added with the hope that the initiative will continue in some form or the other.
There were three categories for the competition including: VIEWERS CHOICE: Based on most liked picture on Instagram; THE MOST AWE-INSPIRING STORY: A story based on the work that he/she does; and SKILL AND TALENT: Telecast one's skills/talents through a picture or video.
The results were declared on September 22 with the following winners:
• VIEWERS CHOICE (Instagram) criteria: Moakumla
• THE MOST AWE-INSPIRING STORY CRITERIA: Toshirenla
• THE MOST SKILLED AND TALENTED CRITERIA: Zululemba
The competition was judged by Imlibenla Wati, Miss Super Talent World Runner-up season-7; I Temsu Jamir, entrepreneur; Sashinungla Nathan, Proprietor, Blossoms Pre-School & Mommy's Homemade Pizzas.
