Peren, August 1 (MExN): The Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, New Jalukie, Peren District celebrated Silver Vacation Bible School (VBS), marking 25 years of children’s ministry in the church on July 27 last.
During the event, Fiona Goimei, Founder of CATCH Ministry, Tamenglong was the guest speaker. She emphasized the importance of nurturing young hearts in the Word of God and encouraged parents, teachers, and the church community to continue sowing seeds of faith for the next generation.
Welcome note was delivered by Aphun Gonmei, Convener of VBS Committee. Journey of VBS Ministry was shared by Rev Namrong Pamei, Pastor, ERBC. The dedication and release of silver steps of faith publication (magazine) was administered by Rev Mathiuthai Gonmei, Executive Secretary, RBCAN.
The keynote greetings was delivered by Ruth Malangmei, CE Secretary I/c, RBCAN and greetings from Gaisinglung Malangmei, CE Director, RBCM was also delivered in the event while the children made special performances.
The Silver VBS celebration brought together children, parents, volunteers, and church members, invitees, in a culmination of a week-long Silver VBS from July 23 to 27 with the theme ‘Light Years” – Incredible God, Immeasurable Love’ Colossians 1:15 – 17. The programme was filled with Bible lessons classes, music, arts, games, and spiritual teachings.
The celebration concluded with VBS Extravaganza Nite featuring performances and displays by the VBS participants, a short sharing by the guest speaker and a special tribute to the VBS Directors, staff, and past leaders who laid the foundation for this milestone.
