Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): All eligible employers registered under Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) are invited to Pradhan Mantry Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) announced by the Central Government under Atma-Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan to mitigate the hardship faced by the employees and employers on account of COVID-19 pandemic.
The subsidy for the wage months March to August 2020 needs to be claimed by submitting online declaration and filing Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR), informed a press release issued by P Hangsing, Regional PF Commissioner-I, EPFO, Regional Office, Guwahati.
Filing ECR is indispensible for ascertaining the quantum of benefit. All eligible employers are requested to file ECR for the month of March to August on or before September 15 so that benefits of the subsidy can be credited to the Aadhaar seeded Universal Account Number (UAN) of all eligible members.
Employers who have already remitted monthly dues before availing benefits may update Form No 5A (Return of Ownership) with bank details by uploading scanned copy of cancelled cheque, for claiming reimbursement, he stated.
