‘Empowered farmer-Empowered society’ training

Noklak, September 23 (MExN): ‘Empowered farmer-Empowered society’ training was at Jungyam Fisheries near AYUSH hospital, Noklak with the resource persons Dharamveer Kamboj, President of India awardee on September 20.

Speaking at the training, a DIPR report stated that Kamboj encouraged the farmers to be self reliant and learn division of labour like farmers for farming and SHG for food processing and marketing. He emphasized on good packaging, lab analysis and branching and urged upon the farmers to preserve their biodiversity and traditional knowledge of farming and agriculture.

Kamboj trained farmers on food processed products like herbals and medicine, plant essential oils, soap, shampoo, face gel, aloe vera products,  Mango, guava, kiwi and others fruit juice, jam etc. Gooseberries, cardamom oils and extract, pineapple and mango candies, ginger, lemon, maize milk, maize milk ice cream, tulsi drops etc.

Deputy Commissioner, Noklak Hiazu Meru and Superintendent of Police, Noklak Dr. Pritpal Kaur also spoke during the training programme. Meanwhile, SP Noklak Dr Pritpal Kaur presented Food Processing Machine to Noklak farmers society during the occasion.
