Zunheboto, May 6 (MExN): An endangered Slow loris rescued from Zunheboto town was safely released into the wild at the Sukhai Community Conservation Area on May 4.
According to the Tizu Valley Biodiversity Conservation and Livelihood Network (TVBCLN), the animal was first rescued by Atoho, a resident of Alahuto Colony, after it was found near his residence.
He ensured its safety and alerted the TVBCLN team, which subsequently took custody of the animal and released it into its natural habitat, it said.
Ivan Zhimomi, Founder, Team Leader, and CEO of TVBCLN stressed the importance of community participation in protecting endangered species and conserving biodiversity.
