Kohima: A programme on general awareness on environment, climate change and development for engineers was held on April 29 at the Administrative Training Institute, Kohima. It was held with an aim to sensitize the technocrats about the need to keep the environmental issues in mind while pursuing the different development programs.
Dr. Hovithal Sothu took up topics – “Introduction to Environment”; “Environmental Regulations & Policy Framework- Indian Perspective” and “Climate Change”. Ella Mary, Director YARD, enlightened the participants on the topic- “Environment and Development”.
15 (fifteen) participants attended the program from different Engineering Departments of the State and was coordinated by Dr. Hovithal N. Sothu, State Coordinator, ATI.
