Dimapur, March 6 (MExN): An emergency consultative meeting of Eastern Naga Peoples Union Kohima (ENPUK) and all Eastern Naga organizations and six tribal unions based in Kohima was held at DUDA guesthouse, Kohima on March 5, 201. Whereby decision was taken as endorsed by ENPO and federating tribal units of the ENPO to abstain from participating in any form during the proposed visit of the President of India to Kohima on March 9 and 10. The decision was resolved to honour the sentiments and resentments of the people of Eastern Nagas due to the unceremonious cancellation of the visit of the President of India to Tuensang. A press note issued by T. Kekongchim, president stated that the concerned authority could have respectfully avoided the mishandling of the highest office of the country. Therefore as collectively endorsed, the ENPUK informs all Eastern Naga organizations, tribal unions and individuals based in Kohima to abstain from participating in the proposed programme at Kohima during the “VVIP visit, in any manner”.
