ENSA thanks GoI for USD 2 million for Myanmar Nagas

Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) has extended gratitude to the Government of India for offering monetary assistance towards “development” of Naga areas in Myanmar. Through a press release from its President, Vice President and General Secretary, the ENSA has also urged upon agencies/companies responsible to “carefully utilize” the sanctioned amount of USD 2 million (INR 108.6 crore) for fiscal year 2013. The ENSA will closely monitor development activities in the region associated to this. The ENSA has considered this the “first fruits” of its approach to the Government of India through “certain agencies” and through the “relentless initiative” of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. “Because of both India and Myanmar joint effort, the region is witnessing fastest development and faster than what we expected few years back,” stated the release.
