Dimapur, September 17 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) today appealed the Minister (R&B), the Chief Engineer (National Highway Nagaland) and the Department of NPWD to observe the NH-155 (now 202) so as to authenticate the workmanship of the road themselves. The Federation in a press note appended by its general secretary Changsang Soted stated that it is confirmed from a highly placed reliable source that a team of Central Officials led by Central Chief Engineer (National Highways) are scheduled to visit Nagaland in order to inspect the various National Highways of the State.
The Federation has so far been assisting the Government and the NPWD in carrying out all the works and therefore, the Central Teams’ visit to the State is generating lots of interest in the mentality of the General Public of the Eastern Nagaland Districts i.e Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire and Longleng. The ENSF also acknowledge the NPWD from taking over the NH-155 road from Border Road Organization (BRO) and its subsequent maintenance till date, and thus believes and anticipates that the Government and the Department concerned will do necessary justice to the humble request of the Federation in bringing the Central Team to visit Eastern Nagaland too.
Meanwhile, the ENSF will carry out all necessary exercise to facilitate the Central Team at Tuensang and further disseminates the information to all the general public, tribal, women and students down to the village level to prepare mentally for the visit of the VVIPs to the Eastern Nagaland Areas.
