The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) once again in the interest of the Educated Un-employed youths of the Six tribes of Eastern Nagaland Districts reminds the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) and the Government of Nagaland to urgently expedite and solve the pending matter of Shri. Relise Sangtam, recommended by NPSC as EAC under Sangtam Tribe BT Quota and who is originally not a Sangtam by blood but was the son of one Shri. Rufi, a Muslim married to a Kiphire Villager, thereby allowing only the genuine Sangtam Candidate to be recommended to the resultant vacancy of BT Sangtam Quota. The Government is asked to strictly implement the successive Order No. AR-8/19179 Dated kohima the 1st June 2009 which states “it is hereby clarified that a candidate from a forward tribe transplanted into backward tribe by adoption or marriage shall not be eligible to the benefit of the acquisition of the status of Backward tribe or acquiring backward tribe certificates, by voluntary mobility into these categories” and Order No.RCBT-5/87(Pt-III) Dated Kohima, the 11th June 2012 which states “to verify the genuineness of the claim before issue such certificates, and also to see that children of the non-Naga father’s as well as non-Naga children adopted by Naga parents etc are not to be given Scheduled tribe/Backward tribe/Indigenous tribe certificates”, so that such unwanted and unwarranted misunderstanding does not arise in the coming days.
The Federation cautions any individual/group or party involving in the case by bearing false witness to Shri. Relise Sangtam’s parentage and lineages would do so in their own risk as the ENSF is pursuing the matter based on the above Government Orders keeping in mind the future interest of the educated unemployed youths of the Six Tribes viz. Chang, Konyak, Yimchungru, Sangtam, Phom and Khiamniungan. The Federation also directs that no individual or party should involve in this case for their own personal interest or political mileage whatsoever as the issue is in the interest of the Six Tribes and therefore further discourages everyone to misuse and twist the issue. Thus, the ENSF appeals to all the Eastern Nagas to refrain from bearing false witness to Shri. Relise Sangtam, after knowing all the facts and figures of his lineage/parentage and if at any moment the Federation detects such malicious witness then S/He would be seriously dealt as per the Resolution of the Six Tribes of Eastern Nagaland.
It is pertinent to understand that ENSF is not against any individual/person getting citizenship either by adoption or marriage but the Federation is fighting for the “Rights” as enshrined for the Eastern Nagas by blood. Hence, the failure on the part of the Government to stick and implement its own Orders and deliver justice to the deserved Sangtam Candidate by blood to avail the EAC post in the place of Shri. Relise Sangtam would compel the ENSF to move even the Hon’ble High Court for DNA verification and testing of parentage/lineages of the incumbent.
Meanwhile, the ENSF appeals to the Education Department Nagaland to urgently advertise all the vacant post allocated to the Eastern Nagas as per the discussion held on 03.02.12 at Niathu Resort Dimapur in connection to ENSF Five Points Charter of Demands and the letter of acceptance as meeting minutes forwarded to the Federation’s Office vide order No. EDS/APPT/GT-PT/2010, Dated Kohima, the 7th Feb. 2012 at the earliest. The ENSF also informs the Education Department to advertise all the Mathematics, Science and Hindi Teacher posts within Eastern Nagaland Districts to be relaxed as open competition so that the Eastern Naga Students do not suffer from shortage of specialized teachers.
