
TUENSANG, SEPTEMBER 26 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has expressed gratitude to the governments of Nagaland and Assam, student bodies and law enforcement agencies for their timely intervention following an incident at Kaziranga University in Assam.
In a statement, ENSF said the support extended by the Nagaland Chief Minister, Assam Chief Minister, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister, Nagaland Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, DGPs of Nagaland and Assam, deputy commissioners of Dimapur, Mokokchung and Jorhat, as well as the All Assam Students Union, Naga Students’ Federation and National Students Union of Jorhat ensured the safe return of students from Nagaland.
The federation said the prompt response safeguarded the well-being of the students and brought relief to their families and the student community at large.
It further placed on record its acknowledgement of the coordination and assistance provided by all agencies and expressed hope for continued cooperation in the future.
The federation also extended sympathy to students affected by the incident and prayed for an early return to normalcy for the smooth completion of their academic pursuits.
