Dimapur, November 30 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Union Dimapur (ENSUD) stated that it supported and backed the demand made by the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) for allotment of an examination centre at Tuensang.
In a press release issued by Setsipa Sangtam, General Secretary, ENSUD & P.Honko Luklem, President, ENSUD, it was stated that the demand of the ENSF is very genuine since the ENSUD have been witnessing the increasing aspiring candidates from the eastern Nagaland areas. The Union stated that the prospects of some aspirants were hampered because of the financial constraints, who could not afford to come to Dimapur or Kohima to sit for the competitive examinations. The NPSC requested the NPSC to look into the grievances and take positive steps to allot an Examination centre at Tuensang.
Also, the ENSUD has expressed its surprise and dismay on learning that the Eastern Naga contractors & Suppliers’ Union (ENCSU) were denied of awarding contract works to the eligible contractors of Eastern Nagaland for construction of Angawadi centers under ICDS project, Social Welfare Department.
The press note stated that the ENCSU have proved time and again of its capabilities in the past. The ENSUD in the press note appealed the Chief Minister to consider the genuine case of the ENCSU and to allot the contract works to the contractors of the Eastern Nagaland as demanded by the ENSF.
