Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): An Entrepreneur Awareness and Special Vendor Development Programme was held at E-Space near SBI Rangapahar Branch, Duncan, Dimapur, on June 18 under the aegis of the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
According to a press release, around 100 entrepreneurs, business owners and stakeholders from across Nagaland participated in the programme. Officials from NSIC, representatives of various government departments, financial institutions and Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) also attended the event.
The programme began with a welcome address by Colo Mero, Vice President (National), Business Association of Nagas (BAN), who highlighted the importance of empowering local entrepreneurs by enhancing their participation in government procurement and business development initiatives.
Presentations were delivered by representatives of the National SC-ST Hub, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), the Ministry of MSME, the Industries Department, Government of Nagaland, State Bank of India (SBI), Food Corporation of India (FCI), Cement Corporation of India (CCI), Airports Authority of India (AAI), NIT/IOCL, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the AICIL team.
Participants were encouraged to explore procurement opportunities and expand their business networks.
The programme also facilitated free on-the-spot GeM and Udyam registrations. A small exhibition featuring local products and services was organised alongside the event to provide participants with networking and business promotion opportunities.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion session followed by a vote of thanks, reaffirming the commitment of NSIC and its partner organisations to strengthening entrepreneurship and supporting MSMEs in Nagaland, the release stated.
