The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation Special State Office, Dimapur organised a district outreach programme, Nidhi Aapke Nikat in Tuensang on August 27.
TUENSANG, AUGUST 27 (MExN): The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Special State Office, Dimapur, on Wednesday organised a district outreach programme, Nidhi Aapke Nikat, at the DRDA Hall in Tuensang.
The programme was attended by employers, employees and other stakeholders. Regional PF Commissioner Samuel Das, along with Enforcement Officer Kallal Bhattacharjee, made a presentation on the provisions, benefits, rights and privileges under the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and the schemes framed under it.
Doubts raised by participants were clarified during the session, and an EPFO help desk was set up to resolve issues, which was widely appreciated, officials said.
The event was also attended by Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) S. Imsong from the Tuensang DC office. Under the Prayas initiative, Pension Payment Orders were handed over to two pensioners.
The EPFO said similar awareness programmes would be held in other districts of Nagaland. Employers and employees were encouraged to approach the EPFO office in Dimapur for queries related to provident fund matters.
