Kohima, August 31 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council is organizing a essay, slogan and painting competition on theme “Clean Life” on the aspects of Kohima.
For high school level students (Class 8-10), the topic of the essay will be “Solution for a clean neighborhood with emphasis on Dust-bin Free Zones and Regulating/streamlining of traffic in Kohima”. The theme on the slogan writing is “Clean Life” on the aspects of Kohima.
For the Higher Secondary and College Level students, there will be a painting competition also on “Clean Life,” basing on dream of clean and green Kohima, impression of Kohima- every day life and visualize scenic sports of Kohima, the inhabitants, market place, street vendors etc. The prize for the Essay and Slogan Competition is Rs. 3000 for the first and Rs. 2000, Rs. 1000 and Rs 500 respectively for the 2nd, 3rd and consolation prize respectively. For painting competition, the 1st prize is Rs. 5000, Rs. 3000, Rs. 2000 and Rs 500 5(five) nos. respectively for the 2nd, 3rd and consolation prize respectively.
The last date for submission of entries will be on the 20th September 2011 at 4:00 pm addressed to Kezhazer Whourie, Advisor, KMC Coordinator for the competition. The council further informed that a rally will be organized involving the schools and colleges for which confirmation of date, time and venue will be intimidated at a later time. Prize distribution for the competitions will also be held at the end of the rally.
