Evils of Extortion

Extortion turns a wise man into a fool, and a bribe corrupts the heart. Ecclesiastes 7:7

Sinners extort to gain something at the expense of their victims and they resort to brutality when their demands are not met. The minds of evil men and women can be likened to stagnant water where flies and mosquitoes breed in. Such men and women are often controlled by their inner desire to sin and their addiction to sin often compels them to do evil. The heart of an evil person will always ploy evil and their deeds will always be wicked. This sin of extortion has now become a trend and its followers are ever increasing and it will continue till all sinners are wiped out from the face of this earth.
The sons and daughters of satan sins in different ways and they shall also be punished in different ways for the sins they committed. In our land the evils of this sin has not only corrupted the saints but it has also destroyed the salvation of the wicked. The wayward sinners depends on extortion for survival and they support their families with their ill gotten wealth. It is sad that these little lovely children often grows up to sin and then die in sin. The mothers that bore them are also responsible for their sins and God will judge everyone according to their deeds. The sins of this vice can be categorized in two ways: (a) Extorting through deception and (b) Extorting through the acts of violence. However the punishments for all culprits will be the same and they will be made to suffer because of what they did. The truth is even if the sinners are set free through the acts of bail and deception they shall definitely be condemned on the day of the judgment if they repent not of their sins. It may appear to you that this is an article of judgment and condemnation but it is not. The purpose of this message is solely to warn sinners about the consequences of falling under God’s judgment and condemnation.
The scripture states “the souls who sins will die and the future of the wicked will be cut off (Ezekiel 18:20) (Proverbs 2:22) (Psalm 37:38 ). The sad reality is that many are already under judgment and their souls under condemnation (Sinners who died in sin). The days of these last days are darkened by the sins of the world and many children of lawlessness will be born in sin and will die in sin. The ways of satan will only lead sinners to hell and who ever has read this will be guilty of many sins if they fail to live by it. The ways of extortion are ever increasing and it will not be long before they are destroyed by the curses of God’s wrath. There are some sinners who gains so much at the expense of the poor, while there are those who increases their wealth by the acts of murder brutality and violence. Regarding such men the scripture states “In men you accept bribes to shed blood; you make usury and excessive interest and make unjust gains from your neighbor by extortion. And you have forgotten me, declares the Sovereign Lord (Ezekiel 22:12). If these words of God convicts you, I urge you to return to Christ before you die. This sin of extortion will do you no good because ultimately your life will be ruined and your salvation destroyed because of this “Little Sin” called extortion.
The wicked will always plot evil in their hearts and they will satiate their appetite for destruction through their acts of wickedness. God further warns us through His Word which says “I will surely strike my hands together at the unjust gain you have made and at the blood you have shed in your midst. Will your courage endure or your hands be strong in the day I deal with you? I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it (Ezekiel 22:13-14). The warnings described here is quite explicit but it is the only way to warn sinners about the consequences of God’s wrath. God has made it clear in His Word that stealing is a sin and He further cautioned that the consequences of it will be death. Truth is death and destruction are never satisfied and so are the hearts of destructive persons.
Satan is now encouraging you to sin but be warned that if you do what satan desires, you will ultimately end up in the place which is reserved for him and his followers. ‘Sin while you can for the time is near is a heretic theme which is supported by the father of lies to deceive the sinners and believers alike. Listen not to lies for you will be deceived but listen to the truth and you will be redeemed. The Lord beckons every sinner and extortionist to shun evil and pursue righteousness. The doers of evil will only end up in hell but the doers of righteousness will inherit all the promises of the Word. The decision to choose between right and wrong is up to you but know that there is a heaven and a hell. The Church of Christ welcomes you to become one with Christ.
