Ex-Servicemen meeting hall inaugurated in Jalukie

Peren | October 11 : Even as the rally for Ex-servicemen in N-E India has been announced to be held a couple of days from now, yet another building for Ex-Servicemen has been inaugurated in Jalukie on October 11.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Special Secretary (Home), L. Singshit, IPS urged on the need to facilitate the amenities and services that are available for ex-servicemen, their widows and children; and that such information is publicized by the concerned district administration so that even far-flung villages of the state are also informed of the benefits. He also urged the ex-servicemen to get enrolled so that they avail their due share and services provided by the government. The chief guest also thanked the army for their commendable job and appealed that such good works continue particularly in district like Peren.
Earlier, delivering the opening speech, Col. SI Jakhalu, Secretary Rajya Sainik Board thanked the HQ 3 Corps-2011 for successfully constructing and inaugurating the hall. He also insisted on the Ex-servicemen to be actively involved as compatriots of the nation by participating in national events such as the Republic day and Independence Day. The Secretary thanked the DC and the Minister TR Zeliang for their moral and financial support in accomplishment and inauguration of the hall. Meanwhile, Remomo Lotha, Secretary Zila Sainik Board, Kohima also informed the children of ex-servicemen on the upcoming Army recruitment rally to be held early November.
The programme which was attended by Adj. Maj. 32 AR and the District Forest Officer was chaired by Imsong Meren, SDO (C) Jalukie.
